Intermission

Here's an interesting puzzler - this is not from Willingham's book but it illustrates something he writes about.

Jack is looking at Anne, but Anne is looking at George. Jack is married, but George is not. Is a married person looking at an unmarried person?

A) Yes.

B) No.

C) Cannot be determined.

  1. I fell for it, just like the article said. I feel dumb. Thanks a lot, Gatton! Ok, I am just kidding but now I want to guess how this ties to the book. Can I submit that the riddle format is alluring in a way that other problems are not?
